PresentPicker is a small sample program that demonstrates how applications can access the central shopping list.
Currently, PresentPicker supports the following functions:
- Select presentee from contacts list or enter new name.
- Choose gender, age, personality, and occasion.
- Search for suitable presents.
- Add present to the shopping list and view the shopping list.

Try it out
- On the tab "Presentee", enter a name of the presentee into the name input box.
- If you have contacts in your contact list, these will show up as possible choices as you type.
- Press '*' (star) to see the list of all contacts. If you don't have any contacts in your contact list, you may want to create some contacts first to try out this feature.
- Click on the person's image to select a different picture. This will cycle through three different choices.
- Select the gender (M/F). For female, another set of images is available.
- Select a personality from the drop down list. You may want to scroll down to see further choices (either by touching and pulling the list up or with the keys).
- Select an occasion from the drop down list.
- Press Search to start the search. This will automatically bring you to the second tab called "Results".
- Wait while the application is trying to search for presents that best match the conditions you chose.
- If the search is done, select an item from the results by touching (clicking) it or moving there with the keys.
- Press "Add to shopping list" to add the selection to the default shopping list.
- Press "View shopping list" to view the default shopping list. Note that the shopping list also contains the presentee's name as a reminder who the present is for. Currently, the first shopping list is the default shopping list.
- If you are not satisfied with the search results, switch back to the "Presentee" tab (with the key pad by moving repeatedly left), optionally change some settings, and press search again. Hopefully a better set of results appears.
