Barcode OI Plugin - European EAN codes wanted.

Hello,
I think the whole european community is waiting for an updated version, of this excellent addon,
with the support for European EAN codes.
Do you have any estimated plan on if and when it will be implemented.

Thanks for your interest in Barcode OI Plugin. We would like to provide European EAN codes, but so far we are not aware of a truly free service to query the codes from. There exists one for US barcodes that Barcode OI Plugin currently uses, but not yet for European ones. So there are still open licensing issues.
If a developer happens to know a good source for European EAN codes please let us know.

Unfortunately, the first web site you mentioned does not give permission to use their data in automated queries. UPC database is the one we are already using. If there is a service that allows for automated queries of EAN codes, we'd gladly use it.
